Doctrinal Statement
Our Purpose
The foundational illustration for our philosophy is Luke 2:52,
"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God
and man."
Our Position
 |
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and
New Testaments to be verbally inspired Word of God, wholly
inerrant in the original writing, infallible and God-breathed,
the final authority for faith and life. |
 |
We believe in the Triune God, eternally existing
in three persons--The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. |
 |
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the
eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God,
having been conceived of the Holy spirit and born of the Virgin
Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. |
 |
We believe that man was created in the image and
likeness of God, and that in Adam's sin the race fell, inherited
a sinful nature, became alienated from God, and is totally
depraved. And of himself is utterly unable to remedy his lost
condition. |
 |
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ
accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a
representative, substitutionary sacrifice in providing unlimited
atonement for the sins of the whole world; an that our
justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection
from the dead. |
 |
We believe that salvation is the gift of God
given to man through grace and is received by personal faith in
the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed on Calvary for the
forgiveness of our sins, and who rose again from the dead. |
 |
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men,
the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and
everlasting punishment. |
 |
We believe it is the responsibility of the local church to
promote and protect the doctrinal purity of the Body of Christ. |
Our Practice
We believe that God gives spiritual enabling gifts for service to
all believers.
We believe that it is the obligation of all Christians to proclaim the
truth of the Holy Scriptures to all men.
Please Note
High Point Camp and Conference Center holds a very strong position
on the issues of Charismatic gifts and their operation today. We do not
believe the sign gifts are for this day and their use and application is
in direct opposition to scripture. We ask all groups to refrain from any
behavior which is contrary to the purpose, position, and practices of High
Point Camp and Conference Center.
