FallFest 2009 is History! |
On Friday night, November 20th, High Point Camp hosted the first annual FallFest. Over 330 local teens (one third of which had never been to High Point before) showed up for this one night event. The sledgehammer took its toll on the Chevy, the guy in the dunk tank was soaked all night, the giant boxing ring was a knockout, and teens dined on pizza, s'mores, hot dogs, and cotton candy. To top it off, Peter Pitchford wowed us with unbelievable illusions and Beau Eckert, one of our teen speakers, brought a unique challenge from Luke 18. To sum it all up, FallFest 2009 was a huge success, and we can't wait until November 2010 to do it all again. Be sure to check out the FallFest Photo Gallery.

The BIG CHILL: Winter Retreat 2010
|
The arrival of cold weather brings a lot of fun things: Christmas, New Year's, and of course, Winter Retreats at High Point Camp. We've got a great lineup of speakers including "Uncle" Buddy Robinson for junior campers (grades 3-6) and Steve Johns, Jim Pitts, and Beau Eckert for the Teen Retreats (grades 7-12).
Winter Retreats at High Point Camp are a great opportunity for students to get away from the daily grind to spend time with friends, have loads of fun, and most importantly, refocus on their relationship with Christ. To find out more information, check out our website: www.hpcamp.org/winter.

Building Projects and Updates
|
As we come to the end of 2009, we can only look back and thank the Lord for another wonderful year. He has given High Point Camp so much and has allowed us the opportunity to serve so many different individuals and churches throughout the year.
In 2009, we had the great privilege of seeing many accept Christ as their personal Savior and others make life-changing spiritual decisions here at High Point Camp. God has been so good. Thank you for allowing High Point to be a part of your camp experience.
Over the years, High Point Camp has been blessed to be able to continue to add to improve the facilities the Lord has given us. As we enter 2010, we have several projects that we will be planning and working on here at the camp. Please pray for us as we consider what the Lord would have us do, as well as asking Him to provide the finances to accomplish these projects:
- Tiling the gymnasium and gym chapel foyer - Replacing mattresses and/or mattress covers in our cabins - Building 2 new A-frame cabins for our summer camps - Purchasing a new "Blob" for our waterfront - Renovating the Wilderness cabin - Resurfacing our outdoor basketball and tennis courts, as well as buying new basketball goals and tennis and volleyball nets. - Planning for expansion of our gymnasium/activity center - Networking our retail store and snack shop
We are always encouraged when individuals and churches help support the camp prayerfully and financially. If you would be willing to help with any of these projects, please contact our camp office or send a check to:
