The Compass
Greetings,
Although the temperature has been jumping from 70 to 40 to 80 the last couple days, Spring is slowly on its way.

Our 20th Annual Hunter's Banquet was held on March 12. Over 400 men, women, and children gathered for a great meal of venison, duck, turkey, and other mysterious things... Hunting pro and outdoor writer, Tracy Breen, gave a great presentation on how to plan a world class hunting trip on a working man's budget.  He also gave his testimony, telling of God's grace throughout a near fatal gun injury and God's strength as Tracy constantly battles Cerebral Palsy. Thirty people prayed to accept Christ and many other decisions were made. We thank the Lord for the opportunity to host this great event.

Here's what is happening in the next few months here at High Point Camp:

Women's Conference - April 30 - May 1
Women's Conference

Traveling down a familiar road is easy. Each twist and turn along the way is expected. We find comfort in familiar sights and enjoy recalling cherished memories. We relax in the journey as our confidence builds . . . and then the unexpected happens! Suddenly, we are on a new path, tentatively trying to wander through the landmines of the unknown. Fear, angst, doubt, and shadowed imaginations flood our minds, grip our hearts, and blind our vision-nothing is clear or comfortable or certain anymore. We would never take this journey blind-folded and alone, nor should we. Realizing that we can trust the most reliable traveling Companion who is right beside us, we can lean fully on the perfect Guide, our God... Jehovah Shemmah 'the Lord is there' - And He is every step of the way!

Not only is He there right beside us - He is the Giver of Peace, The Great Provider, The Hope of our final destination.

It's His desire that We Walk By Faith and Not By Sight.

What more could we possibly need?

Think Outside the Box...
Abandoned TV

Don't be stuck inside all summer watching the tube.  Think outside the box.  Our summer program here at High Point is sure to get your blood moving.

Our Junior Camp is a jam-packed week of excitement. From tubing behind our speedboat, horseback riding, the BLOB, exciting chapel services, and so much more--you will be sure to have your fill of fun! These camps are specifically designed for 3rd-7th graders and guarantee new friends and new experiences.

Summer CampAt Teen Camp, not only will you build new friendships and interact with our awesome counseling staff, but you'll have a ton of fun, too. Late night events, hilarious skits, crazy games, and plenty of free time activities will make your week of camp the best week of your summer. Dynamic teaching will challenge you spiritually and counselors that really care will be there every step of the way.

Getting bored with the same old same old? Give Adventure Camp a try. These challenging weeks are designed for campers in grades 8-12 who like to venture beyond the picnic table. Each day brings a new challenge and a new adventure! Mountain biking, rock climbing, paintball, hiking and rock hopping are all part of the fun. Camping out and cooking over the fire top off the adventure.

Canada ExtremeWe also offer a Canadian Wilderness Trip. There is no better place than the wilderness to learn something new about yourself, and more importantly, about our God.  We'll explore Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada by canoe and backpack. This pristine park is filled with crystal clear lakes, beautiful rivers, old growth forests and spectacular wildlife.

Enjoy Christian camping at its best, in a peaceful, beautiful setting. High Point Camp offers a full spectrum of activities throughout the summer that balance the spiritual and recreational aspects of life. It is the perfect place to enjoy nature, stay physically active, meet new friends, and learn from God's Word.
