SAFETY

High Point Camp is committed to the safety of all our guests. Our comprehensive safety plan covers staff screening, abuse prevention, weather safety, medical care and activity safety.

Safe Hiring Practices

Staff Screening
At High Point, we do not take lightly our responsibility to find the best staff. All of our applicants must complete an extensive application process, undergo a face-to-face, video, or phone interview, submit at least 3 character references, and pass an FBI and Police background check. We recruit and hire only the very best.
First Rate First Aid
Medical Care
During our summer camps, High Point employs registered nurses to meet the medical needs of our campers. In addition, we have a First Responder on staff and all of our Red Cross trained lifeguards are trained in First Aid and CPR/AED. Our closest urgent care facility is just 10 minutes away and Reading Hospital, a level one trauma center, is only 20 minutes away.

Zero Tolerance

Abuse Prevention
The physical and emotional safety of our campers is of highest concern to us. Our staff undergoes extensive training to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse, and our policies and procedures all contribute to the safeguarding of our campers. No abuse will be tolerated at High Point Camp.
